Motors - Faulhaber, Maxon and Escap

For models of steam or electric locomotives high-quality silent motors, preferably ironless motors, are recommended. For diesel engines, an alternative worth contemplating is to install a simple, noisy motor in combination with a centrifugal clutch and flywheel. Such a drive system also results in smooth, dynamic running qualities and may also give the diesel a rather realistic sound.

The following motors are silent, strong and superior to all other model motors.
