Centrifugal clutches The centrifugal clutch, which is pressed directly on to the motor shaft, guards the motor by limiting the torque. The mechanism enables the motor to disengage at all revolution speeds and in both directions! The locomotive may stand still with idling motor. When running, the energy stored in the flywheel can be braked away gradually by reversing the motor or it can be used for rolling a considerable distance with turned off (or idling) motor. To be of real advantage, a centrifugal clutch should be combined with a fairly large flywheel. In many cases a somewhat smaller flywheel separately mounted in ball bearings and directly coupled to a Faulhaber motor by cardan shaft or silicon tube will prove effective. Specifications:
For motor shaft Æ 1,5 mm. Item Nr. CK1.5 |
